Planning

After deciding on the theme of combined 70's and renaissance faire inspiration, we made a plan to start with booking a venue and finding a sponsor for the clothing that would be worn on the runway. We also started working on marketing strategy research and reached out to local funk bands and DJs that fit our mood for the show. We then would find a sponsor for decorations, hold model tryouts + bootcamp for 8 models, find hair and makeup, construct a runway for the venue, and create a music playlist for the runway show that works with the copyright licenses of the venue. We also decided to hold a costume contest for the event, so we planned on acquiring prizes for the winner.

Marketing

After securing the venue (SBC's The Cellar in Springfield, MO), sponsors (Homewrecker Vintage & Queen City Collectors), band (Le Squishé), DJ (DJ James River), and had our 8 models. we started putting out our marketing strategy.

We held a promotional photoshoot photographed by Chloe Massengale with two of our models (Zari Black & Freddie Case) with Homewrecker Vintage's clothes and Queen City Collectibles' props. Here I led creative direction, digital strategy, and visual design on all marketing.

Methods of marketing included:

Print Posters at local venues
Social media event
Social media marketing
